The Bloomfield Township Public Library meeting rooms located in the renovated lower level open for rental April 1, 2008.
Due to already present demand, only Bloomfield Township taxpayers, including residents, property owners, and employees of Township organizations, are able to rent the meeting rooms. Temporarily during this first year, Baldwin Public Library cardholders will not be able to rent a room.
The meeting rooms available for rental April 1, 2008, are the three rooms located in the lower level—Meeting Room 1 set with tables and chairs to seat 46, Meeting Room 2 set with chairs only to seat 56, and Meeting Room 3 set with tables and chairs to seat 18. (The former Leslie Harcourt Green room in the lower level has been turned into two of the most popular sized rooms with more space due to the elimination of the stage and projection room.)
As before the Library Improvements Project, Meeting Room 3 is available for use by tax-exempt organizations, including charitable 501(c)3 organizations, homeowners associations, and similar community service organizations, at no charge. The use of this meeting room for no charge is limited to six times per year by a single individual.
The Community Room, renamed the Leslie Harcourt Green/Community Room is located on the main level and while open for reservations April 1, 2008, will not open for use until September 2, 2008. When open for use, this room will seat a maximum of 90 when tables and chairs are in place, or 140 when chairs only are used. All weekend reservations (Saturday and Sunday) will require chair-only arrangements.
All reservations are considered holds on rooms and dates and must be confirmed by Administration staff, following the receipt of the completed contract, payment with proof of tax-exempt status when a nonprofit rate is desired within two weeks of placing your hold. Follow the easy steps below to reserve a meeting room at the Bloomfield Township Public Library.
Step One: Read the Meeting Room Guidelines here. The cardholder is responsible for following these guidelines.
Step Two: Read and print your Meeting Room Contract here.
Step Three: Place your reservation here. Choose the room, day, times (four hour blocks as noted on the contract), and rate. You will need a valid Bloomfield Township Public Library card in good standing to begin the reservation process. The cardholder must also sign the contract and is fully responsible for the reservation.
Step Four: Complete the contract and e-mail, mail, or bring the signed contract to the library with payment and proof of tax-exempt status when a nonprofit rate is desired.
Step Five: Enjoy the beautiful new meeting room setting, built-in easy-to-use technology, and included gathering space and warming kitchen (kitchen available April 30).
Thank you for using your Bloomfield Township Public Library meeting rooms for your meeting or event.
